The Production Assembly Technician fabricates Barrier Filters and Aero structures for commercial and military rotorcraft, protecting engines from unscheduled maintenance or replacement. The technician is responsible for efficiently performing all tasks while maintaining accurate records and adhering to all procedures and policies, focusing on first pass yields.

Responsibilities

• Build Engine Inlet Air Filtration Systems for rotorcraft.
• Maintain an acceptable level of attendance as per the Attendance Policy.
• Install and remove universal and flush head rivets, hi-loks, cherry-max, hi-shear fasteners, and platenuts.
• Work with and around a variety of chemicals, following all standards regarding PPE.
• Interpret Engineering drawings and other documents to ensure proper build completion.
• Effectively document job completion paperwork.
• Use protective equipment as required.
• Build sheet metal sub-assemblies to specifications for CH-53K and UH-60, plus some low-volume parts.
• Select and use hand tools and power tools such as a pneumatic squeeze and battery-operated drill, with potential use of a rivet gun based on experience.

• Technical and mechanical skills for close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, rivet installation, trimming, and assembly.
• Ability to use micrometers, rulers, and calipers for in-process self-inspections.
• Experience with rivet installation.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Drilling experience.
• Heavy mechanical assembly experience is ideal.
• Entry-level to 3 years of experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Recent military separation is advantageous.
• Graduates from technical schools are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

Work four-day, 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, starting at either 5 AM or 6 AM. Prepare for voluntary and some mandatory overtime, potentially exceeding 50 hours per week. The climate-controlled, low-volume assembly shop offers a mostly sit-down job at a bench, allowing for easy recognition of standout performances.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
