This position is on fultime onsite on a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Factory Manager provides strategic and tactical leadership to a team of manufacturing supervisors responsible for assembly, inspection, and testing. The primary focus is to lead through others, empowering supervisors to standardize work and optimize performance within a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervisory Leadership: Directly manage, coach, and mentor 9 manufacturing supervisors to ensure clear roles, accountability, and a high-performance team culture and indirectly oversee 100+ front line factory employees
  • Operational Oversight: Guide supervisors in managing multiple production areas to consistently meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Talent Development: Oversee the acquisition, training, and professional growth of the supervisory layer to meet evolving manufacturing demands.
  • Performance Optimization: Lead the supervisory team in implementing Lean initiatives to reduce unit production costs, minimize scrap, and drive zero-defect delivery.
  • Strategic Alignment: Support the Director of Manufacturing in capital and expense budget management and the integration of "factory of the future" technologies.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100 of the time.


Job Requirements:
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience, or an Advanced degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Leadership Mastery: Proven experience managing and developing other leaders (supervisors) within a high-mix, high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Practical understanding of manufacturing and the product development lifecycle.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality products on time and within budget through effective team leadership.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Knowledge and/or experience with AS9145/APQP is preferred, but also not required.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $138267 - $235053

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
