Job Description

As an NDT Inspector, you will perform and oversee non-destructive testing inspections using methods such as PT (Liquid Penetrant), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), and ET (Eddy Current) on aircraft components. You will train, mentor, and oversee the certification of NDT Level I personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Additionally, you will develop and maintain procedures and documentation for the NDT department, ensuring all activities are properly executed and documented for regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct NDT inspections on aircraft components using PT, MT, UT, and ET methods.
  • Train and mentor NDT Level I personnel and oversee their certification.
  • Develop and maintain NDT procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of records for regulatory compliance and audits.
  • Manage NDT equipment, including maintenance and procurement.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in NDT methods such as PT, MT, UT, and ET.
  • Experience in inspection, nondestructive testing, and quality assurance.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to conduct own testing and evaluations.
  • Level II certification in Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Eddy Current.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace X-ray.
  • Repairmen certification.

Work Environment

Work the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, typically 40-45 hours per week, including some Saturdays. The role is based in a service center that is clean and temperature-controlled, located in the north part of Milwaukee. Travel to California for training is required when starting.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
