Job Objective
The Fabrication Technician fabricates aircraft parts in accordance with the company processes and engineering.
Essential Functions
- Fabricate aircraft parts from engineering drawings
- Operate multiple fabricating machines
- Form parts out of sheet metal
- Repair fiberglass parts
- Read and comprehend work orders
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA)
- Attention to detail
- Reliability and punctuality
- Dexterity
- Ability to contribute to problem-solving
- High focus on assigned tasks within specified time frame
- Follow directions exactly as instructed
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Sheet metal and fiberglass fabrication ability preferred
- Cabinet building skills preferred
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Entry-level
- Experience in Aerospace a plus
Physical Demands
- Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling
- Climbing heights on various equipment
- Use of heavy machinery
- Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
Work Environment
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
- Moderate to loud noise level
Work Status, Schedule, & Travel
- Full-time
- Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- Overtime dependent on work
- No travel required
