What the position is: The Charter Operations Specialist reports to the SOC Director and assists with all aspects of the company’s day-to-day charter operations, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of charter flying activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to client coordination, flight scheduling, ground handling, security, crew and maintenance coordination and regulatory compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.
- Function as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, brokers and external customers during both the planning and execution phases of each charter flight assignment.
- Coordinate flight schedules with Crew Planning and Systems Operations Control (SOC) to ensure flights are accomplished with efficient utilization of aircraft and crew.
- Prepare, distribute, maintain, and retain Charter documentation including but not limited to Charter briefing documents, passenger manifest, and security documentation.
- Handle client inquiries, resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Take ownership of service disruptions, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions with clients, charter coordinators and SOC are communicated.
- In coordination with Charter Coordinator, ensure client satisfaction from initial scheduling to charter flight completion.
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments to develop operational procedures and infrastructure to support charter flights.
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure compliance with tax and reporting on charter flights.
- Regular attendance is essential for all positions at CommuteAir.

General requirements & qualifications
- At least five years’ experience in airline operations. Knowledge of charter operations a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of supplemental operating authority and other relevant Federal Aviation Regulations, the Private Charter Standard Security Program (PCSSP), safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work non-standard days and times including holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Problem solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Visual Acuity
Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.
